I'm a UX / UI designer,
With one foot in audiovisual production. I study Digital Interaction Design at Universidad del Desarrollo, where I spend my days moving between two worlds that, to me, are one and the same: UX/UI, where I design the intentional experience of how something is used, and Audiovisual Production, where I design how that experience feels.
I've known design was my thing since I was 14. Not necessarily UX/UI, but I had the kind of curiosity that ended up pushing me toward this discipline. That curiosity hasn't stopped growing: I've gone out to see design from other countries: Spain, Hungary and, this year, China, through internships and exchanges that challenged me to step outside my cultural bubble. Today I keep feeding that same curiosity as a teaching assistant in several courses of my program. Every context taught me a different version of the same thing: that designing well is, above all, paying attention.
I believe in design that tells a story, not design that only decorates. When I look at projects, review interfaces or build a brand's identity, I always think first about who this is for and what that person needs to feel, communicate or solve. I'd rather have a screen with less “shine” that people understand than one that impresses and doesn't work.
