Zecure is a gamified banking cybersecurity app for young Chileans. I built it end to end, from research to a working prototype, covering research, concept, character design and UX/UI.
Problem
- Target market
- 3M
- Young Chileans aged 18–29
- Scam awareness
- 23%
- Recognize the most common financial scams.
- Trust gap
- 48%
- Trust the app. Not themselves
- Knowing how to stay safe
- 15%
- Know how to protect themselves
Young people use digital banking the most. Yet they're the ones who know least about protecting themselves in it.
Concept
If the problem is that nobody learns, the answer couldn't be yet another warning screen. It had to be something people would want to use.

I took theDuolingo model
- 1.Learning in small doses
- 2.Instant feedback
- 3.Visible progress
But content alone wasn't enough. To work, it had to speak their language.

Javiera
Sebastian
Benjamín
******
Trinidad
Each character shows up at a specific moment of learning. Javiera when something feels threatening. Sebastian when you already know how to defend yourself. ****** when danger is close. They aren't decoration; they're the app's emotional system.
Cybersecurity that feels like culture. Not like a warning.
Product
Zecure works as a level-based learning game. Each lesson teaches a cybersecurity concept through short challenge-style simulations: read, spot, decide. Right or wrong, feedback is instant and the characters react to your answer.
Try it yourself
This is Zecure's real prototype. It starts in the AliBank app: tap Aventura, meet your character and play the first lesson, just like on a phone.
Progress is always visible. Day streaks, coins earned, levels unlocked. The same logic that makes Duolingo addictive, applied to protecting your money and getting rewarded for it.
